FINGER-SCREEN™ VIBRATORY SEPARATOR FOR WOOD

General Kinematics non-binding FINGER-SCREEN™ Vibratory Separator for Wood has proven to be highly successful in a wide range of applications that are prone to problems common to conventional wire mesh screening surfaces.

The superior performance of vibratory processing and the simple jam-proof movement over our unique FINGER-SCREEN™ Vibratory Separator delivers highly efficient separation and classification. The units vibrating motion spreads material evenly across the deck for maximum separating efficiency. Multiple size separating decks enhance classification while staggered finger positions help to prevent material bypass. Separation performance is enhanced as material freely cascades through the unit — with less “trapping”.

The result: fast, smooth continuous material flow throughout the entire separation and classification process.

DE-STONER® AIR CLASSIFIER FOR WOOD

The GK DE-STONER® Air Classifier for Wood creates distinct material separations of heavies from lights for maximum processing and maximum profits.

The DE-STONER® Air Classifier combines vibratory action with air streams to effectively separate high volume production rates up to 5,400 cubic feet per hour (150 cubic meters per hour). The high velocity / low pressure streams fluidize and stratify material according to differential in terminal velocity of particles. Heavy items such as glass, metals, and stones are separated from lighter wood, mulch or pellets fraction. The DE-STONER® Air Classifier is available in standard sizes with widths up to 72 inches (1800mm) and custom sizes engineered based on your application.

The GK DE-STONER® Air Classifier for Wood is designed with a screen section at the entrance of the unit for enhanced sizing and separation. Material is conveyed through DE-STONER® Air Classifier with vibratory action to help liberate, and spread material evenly across the width. The fluidizing zone passes air through the material stream, creating turbulence, and promoting stratification of lights and heavies. Material is then presented to the air knife, where heavies drop through the air stream to the heavies discharge chute below. Marginal density material lands on the adjustable landing plate and recombines with the heavies. The lighter wood fraction is then conveyed over the landing plate and discharged off the end of the DE-STONER® Air Classifier. The ultra light wood fraction is propelled out of the DE-STONER® and recombines with the clean wood fraction.

Now, General Kinematics has raised the bar again. The new FINGER-SCREEN™ 2.0 Primary Screen takes screening to the next level. Featuring all the benefits of the original, this new design in tandem arrangement, provides a longer displacement that moves traditionally difficult to screen materials.

Great for MSW, C&I and Single Stream applications, the superior performance of vibratory processing with GK’s unique FINGER-SCREEN™ deck delivers highly efficient separation and classification. Like the FINGER-SCREEN™ Primary Screen, FINGER-SCREEN™ 2.0 features an enhanced vibratory action that spreads material across the deck for maximum utilization of the screen area. Tapered finger designs along with unique cam-out surfaces and staggered positions help to prevent material bypass. Separation performance is further improved as material freely cascades down the deck with less plugging, trapping, or pegging. The result: continuous, dynamic material flow to optimize separation and classification.

The FINGER-SCREEN™ 2.0 boasts more energy, faster travel rate, and a higher lift for challenging materials including garbage bags, yard waste, and other lightweight, flexible materials. The longer displacement allows the unit to push through the elastic range of these materials more effectively. Unlike Rotary trommels, which aerate materials, cause blinding and pass long pokers with a high level of daily cleaning and maintenance requirements, FINGER-SCREEN™ 2.0 separates materials based on 3D sizing with minimal blinding and minimal housekeeping. When used as the primary screen, FINGER-SCREEN™ 2.0 provides the initial size separation which scalps off any potentially destructive contaminants, allowing the rest of the downstream equipment to operate effectively.
